About / Bio
Ellen is passionate in supporting women and their partners/family in any way they need. An informed choice made from the heart is the right choice. No matter what your choice, Ellen will be there to support you.

Ellen is flexible, warm, honest and loves supporting families during the emotional roller-coaster ride that pregnancy, birth and those early months are. She has 2 children of her own and the emotional changes starting in pregnancy took her by surprise. That's when she decided to become a doula, to support women (practically and emotionally) on their journey.
"I don't know how we could have done it, without you!" Jan 2013

"How do other people do this without a doula?" July 2012

Ellen was a support person for her sister, who delivered a breech baby naturally in her native Holland in 1995, before she trained as a doula.

Ellen has supported couples with various birth outcomes (natural births, induction, epidural, assisted deliveries) in private and public hospitals, birthing centre and at home.
