About / Bio
Hi and congratulations on embarking on this wonderful journey of pregnancy, birth and parenthood! My name is Vanessa and I am a mother of two energetic boys born 2008 and 2010. As a result of the wonderful level of support I received from my Doula and midwives throughout both of my pregnancies and births, I felt inspired to provide other women and their families with a similar type of nurturing and attentive care during such a special time in their lives. As your Doula, I will be there to support you to have the birth you choose, whether you intend to birth at home or in a hospital setting, with or without pain relief, natural birth or caesarean. I will endeavour to be a trusted source of information and help you to understand your choices and options with greater knowledge and insight. I will value the time we have during your pregnancy to get to know you and your partner, as well as your hopes, wishes and any concerns you may have for your birth and beyond. My hope is through the support I provide you will feel positive, confident and cared for and above all else, empowered to be an active participant in your birthing experience, whatever that maybe. Bringing a new little soul into this world truly is a unique life experience and I feel so lucky to be able to share this amazing journey with a family. I would love to speak to you about your up and coming birth or answer any questions you may have so please feel free to give me a call. For further information I can be found also on Facebook at Essential Element Doula.
